Space Monsters Magazine Issue #1
Space Monsters #1 is a 100-page squarebound magazine covering all aspects of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy. Designed especially for collecors.
Our talented family of contributors consists of Casey Orr (aka Beefcake The Mighty) of GWAR, Donald Farmer, Nicholas Vince, Donald F. Glut, Jason Brazeal, Simon Pritchard (cover and comic story), Elizabeth Belmont, Sadie Katz, Steve Strout, Steve Werblun, Frank Dietz, and Dennis Daniel.
The front cover lists the articles down the left-hand side.
This will be a 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" publication on quality paper, with a sturdy binding for permanence. The magazine will be published twice a year (summer and winter).
The magazine is already completed and is at the printer. We are just waiting for the numbers from this offering to set the final print run. This campaign will help offset some of the printing costs.

Casey Orr (Beefcake The Mighty of GWAR) The Art Of OrrCasey Orr is an enigma. He's the legendary bassist for the band GWAR and has been in Ministry, Rigor Mortis, and many other bands. He's also a Grammy winner. In addition, Casey is a fantastic artist and writer, and his column, THE ART OF ORR, will delight fans by giving fascinating insights into his creativity and collaborations. You won't want to miss it!
Donald F. Glut is a legend in the horror and sci-fi community. He wrote the novelization for The Empire Strikes Back and has written for Vampirella, Spider-Man, Masters Of The Universe, Transformers, and many other high-profile projects. He even worked with The Monkees! Don's column, ASK DON GLUT ANYTHING, is sure to be popular, as Don answers interesting questions sent in by his fans worldwide.
Elizabeth Belmont's column, BLOODLINES WITH BELMONT, gives insightful information on vampire lore and how it intertwines with little-known history. Elizabeth is a historian who will provide readers with some mind-blowing information not found elsewhere. Look for her upcoming Vampire book trilogy! THE DERMANENLION SAGA! There's a great teaser in this issue!
Dennis Daniel is a mainstay of the horror community. He's a CLIO Award winner and has been nominated for the coveted Rondo Hatton Award several times. Once you read his insights, you will know why. He is one of the most beloved figures of the horror community. We are proud to have Dennis on board. His passion is infectious. Dennis' column, CINEMA MACABRE, provides interesting facts and analysis of obscure cinematic treasures you will enjoy reading.
If you're a cinephile, then legendary underground filmmaker veteran indie filmmaker Donald Farmer needs no introduction. His column is I LIKE WHAT I LIKE, and in THIS EPISODE: THE GREEN SLIME makes its debut! You don't want to miss it!
Fan Favorite Nicholas Vince has provided horror fans with some of the most memorable characters over the years. From the Cronenberg classic NIGHTBREED to Clive Barker's HELLRAISER and HELLBOUND HELLRAISER 2, Nicholas was your favorite Chattering Cenobite. Nicholas is also a great writer, and his column, POE, PRICE, CORMAN, AND ME, dives deep into the legendary Poe classics produced by B-movie maestro Roger Corman. This column will delight fans both new and old. It is very detailed and magnificently written. You'll love it!
Sadie Katz is a scream queen and a fan favorite in the horror community. Her column Katz Klaws features a roundtable discussion with other scream queens and delves into their experiences in the wild and whacky world of horror filmmaking. In this issue, Sadie sits down with Felissa Rose, Jessica Cameron, and Nicole Cinaglia! This is one of the highlights of the magazine. Sadie's column is destined to be a major hit!
Simon Pritchard is the SPACE MONSTERS MAGAZINE Resident Artist, and boy, does he deliver! That beautiful cover art was his idea, based on a concept by Jason Brazeal. Simon was given free rein to do what he wanted with the basic idea, and this approach paid off. Simon also created the comic strip in the style of the old horror comics of the 70s. It's a particularly wicked tale for all you horror comic fans!
Rondo Hatton Award Winner Frank Dietz, of Disney and B-movie fame, brings you the column SKETCHY THOUGHTS, which provides valuable insight into mainstream and obscure cinema in the way only Frank can do! His column is fantastic! Sure to be a hit with fans both old and new!
Indie icon Steve Strout is the host of the Rondo-nominated podcast THE STEVE AND CRYPTO SHOW, and Steve's column gives you some real insight into the obscure world of indie horror. INDIE-DECENT EXPOSURE deep dives into indie filmmakers and artists who you will know, if you don't already, because these figures are on the rise and worth looking into. Steve Werblun is an amazing storyboard artist for films such as THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, BATMAN AND ROBIN, ALONG CAME POLLY, and many others. Steve is also the courtroom sketch artist you all know, but didn't know that you knew, from the OJ SIMPSON TRIAL and the MENENDEZ BROTHERS TRIAL. Steve's column, CONNECT THE DOTS, provides fascinating glimpses into the life of a creative! If you love filmmaking and storyboarding, you won't want to miss his column!
Editor in Chief Jason Brazeal's resume includes work with some of the most iconic names in the industry, including Famous Monsters of Filmland, Deep Red Magazine, Hammer Studios, MPI Video (Dark Shadows), and many others.
